Programme overview
Deep specialisation in the monitoring half of the compliance role. Covers scoping, testing, working papers, findings and follow up to a standard that will withstand internal audit and regulator review. Includes a full simulated monitoring review carried out over the two days.

- Risk based scoping: deciding what to monitor this year and defending the exclusions

- Fieldwork discipline: evidence standards, interview technique, walkthroughs
- Working papers that support the conclusion
- Data driven monitoring: using full population testing where the data allows
- Writing findings: condition, criteria, cause, effect, recommendation
- Rating findings and agreeing management action with realistic dates
- Follow up and validation of remediation

- Combined assurance: coordinating with internal audit to avoid duplication
